Something new for the website! every few weeks I will be doing a “Spotlight on Business” introducing you to a number of my business colleges that I have worked with in the past. I love meeting new business people and working together to help our businesses along.

Since 2004 – almost 6 years in April and over 20 years in Hospitality industry

Cherished Events are here for all your Function & Event needs including weddings, private parties, corporate events, special occasions, dedicated service for Wakes & Memorial services. We offer full or partial co-ordination, , helping hand, professional staff and free advice with friendly service.

What should clients be asking a Wedding Planner?

What will the planner / co-ordinator do to benefit their wedding day and preparations? The idea of having a professional co-ordinator is to not only put the wedding couple at ease, but having a professional person who takes away the stress and worry as they know what to expect, and how to deal with issues should they arise. Often many people have never been to a wedding, let alone have the mammoth task of arranging such a special day.

What is the average cost of a Wedding Planner / Event Co-ordinator?

Wedding costs vary depending on the amount of assistance needed. Partial costs start from $500 with full co-ordination starting from $1500. Each wedding is unique as no two couples are the same. By using a professional co-ordinator you will have access to reputable suppliers who are professional, and work as a team to ensure the success of the wedding day. Wedding costs can start from $5000 onwards depending on choice of venue, ceremony, suppliers, hire costs, music, staff to name a few items.

What are some of the current trends in your industry?

Trends for weddings is ongoing. Current trends include modern approach with traditional values, various colours and ideas. Cherished Events have professionals who work in industry and teach at TAFE
